Thank God for small things

One of our dogs was hit by a car yesterday first of all we thought he might of broken his front leg we took him to the vet within 30 minutes of it happening we were so worried about him and scared that we might of had to put him to sleep as we can't afford to spend £10000 pounds to have an operation to fix the leg. We called this morning and he was doing better in him self up and about wagging his tail so we gave the go-ahead for him to have x-rays which we were waiting for the call about the results which we got at lunch-time he has dislocated his leg and they have fixed it which was good he's coming home tonight we're picking him up before I go to work.
It's cost us just over £300 but it's been well worth it.

£300 is also quite a lot of money but still less then an operation. I am happy for you =)

yeah £300 is alot of money it's just under 3 weeks pay for me (I work part-time) but in the end it's been well worth the money seeing him getting back to normal :)

I know it's not easy to make that kind of decision regarding money, we had to put my dog through some highly experimental liver treatments a few years back that set us back in terms of money but in the end, there was no doubt that he's worth it.

It's a relief to know your lil guy will be alright. :)

yeah money tends to play a big part we were all thinking how we'd be able to all put some money towards an operation for him lucky enough although it was just over £300 we could easily find the money to pay for that but when your talking more than that we'd of had to of seriosly considered putting him to sleep we've had him 13 years and he has maybe 2+ years left in him but it's still hard for anyone to consider or to actually make the desion to end their pet's life.

It is a relife to know he's on the mend and everyday now he's getting better and becoming like the dog he was before the accident he still has to be carried out to the toilet and eat his food in the livingroom where we spend most of our time instead of the kitchen where he'd normally eat but it's nice seeing him get better

I don't know how I coped with it all to be honest I think I'm one of those people who just copes with a cituation as it happends then break down afterwards me and my mum were joking on the way back from the vets after we'd rushed him there that we both could do with some vodka even tho neither of us drink it lol.
